He also mentions how houses appear very similar, in my hometown there are a couple or neighborhood which appear similar but for the most part houses are very different depending on the likes of the owner, houses are more spread out so they have no connection with another house.
He also mentions boxy glass buildings, there is only one building in my hometown that looks like this.
He talks about Porshes and BMWs making their way to a swimming pool, in Lebanon your more likely to find dodges and fords, on the way to the lake.
Guterson says Green Valley has rich neighborhoods with gates and security, I am pretty sure Lebanon has no such neighborhood.
I also found it interesting that the people in the story did not want their real identitys mentioned, in my hometown, people would have found out all about the actions of people whether or not they wanted them to.

Memories;
1.This is not a certain memory but more of a collection of memories, during the summer in my hometown as high school students we had nothing to do so we would all meet up at Kmart parking lot or the square and everyone would hang out until being run off by the cops
2. Another place i had a lot of memories is Chase's grandfathers parking lot, many nights we would drive back there and hang out.
3. Brandon Johnsons barn brings back many memories, it was the first place i learned how to drink and party, and we never stopped.
4. The Barton Creek boat ramp on coles ferry was another hang out spot that I spent much of time at, fishing, drinking, just hangin out, it didn't matter I did it all there.
5. I love my hometown, I know half the people in town and cannot drive down a road without passing five people I know, it truly feels like home.
2. One memory- One night me and a few buddies were camping out on my friends land. It was freshman year and we were just starting to experiment with drinking. My friends land happened to back up to the property of the private school we happened to be attending at the time. None of us cared much from the school. So we hung out at the campfire for a little while the ran through the woods and jumped a barbed wire fence till we were on the property of the private school. Once on the property we found a golf cart on the school property and it had the key still in it. We took the golf cart and did donuts on the soccer field. After that we broke into the baseball hitting facility and hit some balls and set off the fire extinguisher. Once we turned the fire extinguisher on we couldn't manage to shut it off and we filled up the whole place in smoke. We took off and ran back to our campsite.

Rhetoric Scavenger Hunt

Observations: silver impala, red tailights, car is in a parking space, two bumber stickers and one license plate, the bumper sticker on the left (looking at the picture) reads FUTURE with the U and the T as a symbol for the University of Tennessee, the license plate is a piture of a sun rising over a red barn on a freshly plowed field, the license plate reads "Agriculture", the bumper sticker on the right is orange, white, and a brownish dark red color, it says Milan and N Till Field Day July 24, 2008, and the same UT symbol as the other bumper sticker
Inferences: The silver impala is a nice car so the owner more than likely has a job and is educated. They are nicely parked in the space so they can drive. Both bumper stickers apply to the University of Tennessee indicating they support the VOLs. The owner has an Agriculture license plate and one of the bumper stickers says "field day" which possibly means he/she does something related to Agriculture. The bumper sticker which reads "Future" indicates the owner believes a college education leads to a good future. The "Future" bumper sticker placed before the "Agriculture" license plate could mean the owner supports the future of agriculture.
The audience of these bumper stickers and license plate could be anyone who notices them. It is a positive tone with thoughts of the future and agriculture. The "Future" bumper stickers sends the message that the University of Tennessee can lead to you to a good future. With an agriculture license plate the owner has relation with agriculture in Tennessee. Together they send the idea that through the University of Tennesse there is a positive future in agriculture. Through ethos whoever reads the bumper sticker knows the owner is related to UT and therefore is educated and relatively intelligent.

The first thing I notice is that the women are in the back of the picture and the men in the front. The women are wearing the colors of fire and the men seem to be wearing the colors of water. All the women look exactly the same and the men do as well, this is interesting coming from a place of communism. I believe the photographer did not want all the focus on the two men because they are not in the center of the photo but at the right side. The way the women have their hands in the air it definately displays a celebration. China also looks as if they are representing their wealth with the flashy tokens on the women's dresses.
